2006 Festival Pictures

On display is winning artwork from the Whooping Crane Art Contest. Music and dancing is part of the evening activities at the Whooping Crane & Wildlife Festival. Sarah Boles presented Northern Native Plantscapes in the Speakers Tent. Get your face painted!
Visitors enjoying the many arts and craft booths available at the Festival. Falconer Carolyn Belisle holds her red-tailed hawk while presenting a program on North American Falconry. The International Crane Foundation provided a booth in the Exhibitors Tent. The Juneau County Economic Development Corporation provided a booth.
Winners from the 2006 Wisconsin Junior Duck Stamp Contest were on display at the Necedah National Wildlife Refuge booth. The Necedah Lions booth was the place to purchase your raffle tickets. Kerryn Morrison, employee of the International Crane Foundation South Africa, presented a program titled "Southern and East African Cranes, Wetlands and Communities. Employees from Operation Migration, a partner of the Whooping Crane Eastern Partnership, was available to answer questions in the exhibitors tent.
Joe Duff, Co-Founder of Operation Migration, Inc. presented a program titled "Flying With Birds". Private and state organizations had booths in the Exhibitors Tent. Children riding ponies at the Festival. Local mascots strike a pose with young visitors.
Experience the life of a frontier camp at the Whooping Crane & Wildlife Festival. A whooping crane keeper dressed in a whooping crane costume stands next to the mascot of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service--a blue goose. A visitor talks with a staff member at the U.S.G.S. Patuxtent Wildlife Research Center booth . The Necedah Branch of the U.S. Postal Service had a booth.
