Children's Tent

   
   
   
9:00 - 11am

Wildlife Track T-shirt Printing
Every youth (5-14 years old) that enters the Children's Tent will receive a free t-shirt and make their own wildlife tracking t-shirt while supplies last. Thanks to TDS Telecommunications Corporation for supplying all of the Festival's t-shirts.

 

11am - 12pm

Wildlife Telemetry
Learn how the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service tracks whooping crane movement by using radio telemetry.

 

12pm - 2pm

Birdhouse Building
Make your own blue bird nestbox using materials supplied. A $2.00 donation per nestbox kit will be greatly appreciated.

 

Necedah Refuge Family Activities
New this year are featured activities at the Necedah National Wildlife Refuge. Beginning at 9:00 a.m. anyone interested can catch a shuttle bus that will run between the festival grounds and Neecdah National Wildlife Refuge.
   
9am - 4pm Nature's Trading Post
Check out Necedah National Wildlife Refuge's Trading Post - a place of discovery and enjoyable learning.
   
9am - 4pm Refuge Office Open - information station for the Refuge
   
   
   
 

 

 

   

Other activities throughout the day include face painting and a bouncing ball cage.

Note: Children 10 years old and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
